Overview
Thank you for using TipCalc ("the App"). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles data.
In short: TipCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any user data.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Usage or analytics data
- Crash logs or diagnostic data
- Bill amounts, tip percentages, or other calculation data
- Any record of user input
How Data Is Processed
All calculations performed within the App, such as bill amount, tip percentage, and split between people, are processed entirely on your device.
No data is sent over the network to any server, and nothing is saved to the cloud. Once you close the App, any entered data is not retained unless the App itself offers a local preference-saving feature, in which case that data is stored only on your device.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services.
The App does not share data with any third party because the App does not collect any data in the first place.
Permissions
The App does not request any device permissions, including but not limited to:
- Location access
- Contacts access
- Camera/photo library access
- Network access (except possibly for standard App Store update checks, depending on implementation)
Children's Privacy
Because the App does not collect any personal information from any user, it likewise does not collect personal information from users of any age, including children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
Changes to This Policy
If the App's functionality changes in the future and requires data collection, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and users will be notified through appropriate means within the App.
